Blackstone analysis on my rebuilt cylinder head.

The water pump seized and damaged the valves on my interference engine. The top of pistons head were only scuffed and not replaced. Only the cylinder head was repaired and NOT machined flat since it was in tolerance. All new gaskets installed.

I asked Blackstone to determine if the new cylinder head gasket is OK and if any coolant is present. 20 new hydraulic lifters and 20 intake/exhaust valves were installed. This is a 5 cylinder non-turbo engine

(Note: used 1 qt of makeup oil 5-30 Platinum)

Another 3K mi Pennzoil report had similar results of the additive package. Look at the B, Ca, P, Mg and Zn levels. Interesting!

2009 Nissan Rogue Pennzoil Platinum w/ PP 5w-30

I also used PP w/ Pure Plus but with 5qt 10W-30 + 1qt 5W-30 and 1qt make-up of 5w-30. Make-up oil added was accurately measured 16oz every 1.5K mi.

What would cause the viscosity to drop to a 5W-30 level?
