Half the price and half the additives? Or did they target this for use in both regular and emissions marine engines? Catalysts are in no danger at all from this oil.

Looks OK, I guess. Decent Calcium, little moly, little Magnesium.
 
That's why a started to ask myself if this is meant to be a catalyst safe engine oil. Think it might be no coincidence that the zinc is dancing around right below 900PPM.

As it is, I can certainly think of any other engine oil I'd rather use.
 
Actually, I just checked the bottle and it does have the symbol that says "FCW Catalyst Compatible". So that's why the oil is such a wuss. It's emissions oil.
 
Thanks for the VOA, very interesting and not what I was expecting at all.
Seems weak unless of course there are compounds in there that are not tested for instead of the old same stuff.
Moly doesnt bother me as there are different kinds, lack of boron and/or magnesium does surprise me.
