I agree ^^^^

The Motorcraft FL 400s filters always look perfect when cut open on here.... I could put one on the lady's Camry... And if I did not have a Wix to go it... I would gladly run a Motorcraft FL 400s on that car.
 
The fanboys defending this filter is rediculous! These filters are failing for multiple users, and they all fail in the same ways.
The wide pleat next to the seam tears, this is well documented.
Also the metal end cap not being bonded seems to be somewhat common also.
This was mine, with only about 2500 miles on it.
Same common failure m.o.

That's a good looking oil filter. If I had a vehicle with the engine it calls for that filter, I would use it.
And, I wouldn't tear the pleats after I cut it open, to get 5 minutes of fame!
