1977 MG Midget 1500
My first fun car after I got back into the hobby after school, etc. A great little ~50K mile Midget with a perfect body and an engine w/ low oil pressure. The 3 main bearing Triumph 1500 is not a durable motor, but their life can be extended by a new oil pump and new main bearings at mid life; 60K or so. I did this and enjoyed the car until I sold it to free up space for my TR6 ~30 years ago. I sold it to a close friend who still has it and it is in the best shape of its life. We took it out over the Summer.
Love the view over the short hood and the headlight bumps, and I always liked the quaint wire brace supporting the windscreen. Also, our heads are at the typical car's taillight height. These are very small cars, but a ton of fun to drive.
