This guy is talented. Car expert, presenter, producer, director, cameraman.

Either that or nobody wants to work with him!

I agree with this assessment.

It's straight up Vietnamese/Southeast Asian accent. Notice how he says the "O" and "A" sounds...

Wow. Never would have tagged it that way. There are oddities in accent. Austrian can pass for north Jersey at times. Russians have easier times sounding Irish.

I worked with a few Vietnamese. In native slang, women appeared to be saying ping-pong-ping-poooong-. Way too many vowels for the western ear. Korean appeared to have more "gouging oooooowe's" (obviously my term).

That all said, if he was an Amish person with authentic native Germanic norms AND got exposed to too much contemporary gutter speak, he would sound just like he does.

I mean, think of some Swede from farm land MN getting wigged out after a childhood of local dialect

I think it more proves why we're not the most popular (perhaps admired would be a better term) culture on a global scale. We appear to default at the lowest (life) common denominator. We're also infectious.

You'll note that he never said:

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more..

..or fill the wall up with our English dead..

Instead we got booshemafug, yo.

Don't beat yourself up too much. There are things to be admired in every culture as well as interesting "characters" such as this guy. There was another video on this guys site where he gave some details about himself. His father died young and his sister died several years ago too. He talked about doing the oil change for his mom. So he's just an honest kid finding something positive to do.

It was interesting to see him open up an $8 honda oil filter and it was a $2 fram. I would never have expected that out of Honda. And the way some of those filters disintegrated was very revealing. Can't wait to see the third in the series.

Actually, Korean is the closest to the English language compared to all of Asia because the consonants and vowels have a related sound to the English alphabet.
