Does someone know of a video that explains the dangers of running on the speed limiter on larger truck? I remember watching this video in the early 2000's when windows XP was mainstream. It talked about when you have a tire blowout on the front axle, you need to be able to aggresslivly add throttle and steer the opposing direction quickly. If you are running on the speed limiter (65MPH) and there is no room to add throttle, and thus you are destined to have the vehicle pull viloently despite you trying to hold the wheel. Hitting the brakes only makes the problem worse.

For the life of me I cannot find this video on youtube any longer.

This one maybe:

I had a steer blow out in a semi truck carrying 43,000 lbs of water up I-95 (An almost brand new Firestone! imagine that!). It really didn't unsettle the truck that much or pull on the wheel what hard. It was only a little more squirrely than having a drive tire blow.

BUT I knew better than the slam the brakes or jerk the wheel. If you panic, I can definitely see it getting out of hand very quickly.
