Video card, three outputs...

I have a Dell computer with a video card that has three outputs. 1-DVI, 1-DisplayPort, and 1-HDMI.

I'm going to use the DVI to drive a projector, and need to decide on one of the other ports (the Display Port or the HDMI port) to drive a separate monitor.

This is for presentation software, so the projector and the monitor will have separate feeds.

So, which port is the better choice for driving the monitor, the Display Port or the HDMI port. Also, the monitor has NOT been purchased yet... so there's some flexibility there as well.

I'm leaning towards using the Display Port for the monitor.

HDMI is better. I wonder if it will let you drive the DVI and HDMI at the same time though; one is the same as the other but HDMI has sound.

Either really.
Depends on what your new monitor will support.
All connections to monitors are of the high res nature. Not like when dealing with TV's.

VGA, DVI, HDMI all look good on my monitor (I have them all on the back of it)

OK. You should be fine. Though I'd recommend getting the latest Catalyst drivers from ati.com while you are at it.

Really, it is of no consequence as to which interface you choose. For simplicity, HDMI is probably the better choice.
