The info was in my first post. The VR1 Racing Synthetic 10w-30 (not conventional)is available at my ADVANCE Auto Parts in NH.

That does appear to be the case. However, if one wanted, felt the need for a light oil(I have never used a 30 grade oil) it has a fantastic anti wear pack.

I wonder about the blue dye. Could it be there to let anyone who felt the need/authority to look inside your engine know that you had/were using a non specified oil

Sorry guys, I meant AutoZone. I lost track when they changed from ADAP. I usually shop at REAL auto parts stores, like Robbins where they stock RotellaT 10w-30 in 4qt jugs (for the spouses' Subaru).

You CAN do anything you want, but I wouldn't use a non detergent motor oil in a street car!

Its not a non detergent, just lower detergent.Big difference.I`m not talking about the off road stuff they make, that may not have any detergent in it.

You linked to Valvoline's NON DETERGENT RACING OIL. It has no calcium or sodium.

The other VR-1 racing synthetic oil in fact has a full detergent additive package as it is safe for passenger cars.

I had a 110 MPGH yugo zastava (Fiat) with sidedraughts, ansa exhaust and headers and cam( parts from a wrecked FIAT 128 scca car) Could drive the car at redline in 4th with 1 finger on the wheel - a GREAT handling car! Chicks laughed at me at stoplights
