Hi folks, New UOA on my watercooled 911 997 3.8 Porsche year 2005 Valvoline Synpower 5W-40: 4400 miles and 5 months of winter storage without starting the engine at all Oil filter: Royal Purple 10-2835 and LN engineering spin-on oil filter adapter and Low.temp. thermostat. No track use this year. Total miles on the engine: 114000 miles Sample date: 25/10 2022

Low wear metals, and i have used Valvoline Synpower 5W-40 the last 7 years with consistent readings, but this time i see a peak in molybdenum from 2 ppm (the last 7 years) to 24 ppm
Should this raise any concern ? The lab have approved the sample as all green Happy to recive comments

Porsches are cool cars . Especially the 911s
They are. But some year ranges have significant engine failure issues so buyer beware for some older models. There's a garage complex in Georgia that specializes in rebuilding them to the intended spec, Porsche techs actually come from Germany to observe there...
