Recommendation of B - Monitor Compartment

"More samples needed to develope trend. Copper and Silicon results are Slightly high for hrs/km on the oil. May eb residual contamination from previous oil. Should settle after three or four oil changes. investigate and Evaluate compartment condition. We will monitor activity over the next few samples. InfraRed Analysis appears acceptable for Hrs/Kms. Continue Sampling at recommended interval"(William Adams-Caterpillar)

For the [censored] of me cannot track the silicon leak, unless certainly gaskets playing up. Certainly better than the ULX-110 used previously.

which engine? Holden V6?

I see you got itchy and changed at 7365km and not 7500km...

Does the Holden V6 have an American GM counterpart or is it unique to Australia? I ask because I am wondering how 5w40 or 5w50 would do in my GM 3.1.

Yes i am on 5w40 Shell helix Ultra now, giving it a try. Your 3.1 engine is similar to our Astra Engine possibly???. German ? We have a newer 3.6litre Alloytec v6 from 2003 onward.

The engines to certainly have a GM counterpart, whichever the GM 3.8litre V6(L36) of the pre 2000 to 2001 period. We called it the Ecotec, you guys call it the Buick series 2 i think. Then there is the Supercharged version(L67). The newer ones are the 3.6litre Alloytec, overhead cam design.
