Here is the UOA for the Valvoline Synpower Synthetic 10w30.

The 1st column is the Synpower, and the 2nd column is the UOA done last year on NAPA Syn 10W-30. I posted the VOA's on both these oil last year in the VOA forum. Interesting compare since the NAPA oil is a Valvoline private label.

Not bad results, but lead is high for the miles. Yeah, it could be 'break in', but I don't like it, and I'd go higher visc. to see if it improves bearing wear. You're not going to muck up a warranty on an '01 by giving 40-weight a shot.

Just curious, why so low miles on the unit?
 
Shortly after purchase I was issued a company car for customer calls. This one became a weekend only driver for the 4 plus years I was on the company car plan.

40w? Rotella T Syn 5w-40 is on my futures list once I work thru my stash of SynPower and PP 5w-30.
