Per the PI sheet for the product, Maxlife ATF is "recommended for" those applications which require a DEXRON license. Nowhere does it say that it meets the requirements for that license nor is it a GM licensed fluid.

In any event, the product meets a wide range of specifications, including those for Dexron specified fluid. As I said previously, my transmission does very well on it and I will most likely do another drain and refill some time around mid Autumn..
I'm sure they are very similar. Obviously Valvoline has done testing on their products.

Yes, don't get me wrong I use in in every AT I own except my new Tiguan. But nowhere does it state that the product meets any of the specifications or licenses on their sheet, only that it is suitable for use in those applications. Maxlife ATF has zero licenses or approvals.
