I did a search and couldn't find anything so if I missed a previous discussion, my apologies.

In one of the trade magazines I receive (Aftermarket Business March 08) there was a ad for a new product from Valvoline. It's called "Complete Oil System Cleaner" amd it is advertised as a 100% solvent free formula, cleans an engine in 10 minutes. Anyone have any info on this? Pic shows a one gallon jug but doesn't really say how much to use.

Call 1-800-Teamval and ask their tech folks what's going on with it.

All I see at their site is Pyrol Engine Flush.

"Some engine flushes are too strong and can plug critical oil passages with dislodged particles. Pyroil Engine Flush dissolves sludge gently. "

"Pyroil Engine Flush melts sludge and cleans engines in five minutes. It improves circulation, frees sticky valves and lifters and dissolves power-robbing deposits.

Dissolves sludge
Cleans engine in 5 minutes
Opens restricted oil passages
Frees sticky valves and lifters
Improves oil circulation
Dissolves power-robbing deposits
Cleans sticky piston rings
Reduces blowby"

Thanks Tall Paul,

Pyroil Engine Flush: Cleans gently in 5 minutes.

Kerosene, Aromatic Hydrocarbons, Glycol ether EB, and Diacetone Alcohol.

Pretty tough stuff, IMO. Based on all the <, less than arrows looks like to be another solvent quick flush.

Well what caught my eye on this stuff is the claim to be 100% solvent free....whatever that means. Sometimes they put these ads out in the trade/jobber mags to see reaction and it really doesn't exist yet.

Look into Schaeffer's Neutra 131. Not sure what is in it, but there is some type of acid. It's a fuel treatment, but also can be used in crankcase. Very different from any other product.
