So, to update this thread I called claims and they tell me car is in shop and being fixed. Not sure what way this will go.

If it's fixed you all will get to see a 26k tough guard filter cut and posted

I've been out with my son looking at various used crossovers. Look real careful at the undercarraige of the older design Escape. The rear wheel wells and the rear shock mounts rot really bad. Almost every one that I looked at up here had that problem. Even if you're not in the salt check that out
