New Mobil 1 filter is made under the Highline Warren umbrella ... made in Vietnam or China so far, so maybe at the same factories as what PGI uses - a few threads about that already. HW and PGI have no association from what I can find.Looks like it caught some stuff in the media over your 4k duration. Built by Purolator & the new ones might very well be different company made now.
I think it looks goodThis one came off our 2005 Nissan XTerra. 4.0

OP's is built by M+H. But yes, Some of the new M1 filters are now coming into WM stores built in Vietnam & SK under HW as the "middle man". I inspected a few the other day & they look good. My comment was in regards to not knowing which model numbers are actually going to change over to HW. That has yet to be seen but perhaps someone may now if OP's model number has indeed changed to the new one or not.New Mobil 1 filter is made under the Highline Warren umbrella ... made in Vietnam or China so far, so maybe at the same factories as what PGI uses - a few threads about that already. I know ... said so in post 2.OP's is built by M+H.
I think all Mobil 1 filters will eventually switch over to Highline Warren. That's why they are now shown as the sole company for any Mobil 1 filter warranty claims. But yes, Some of the new M1 filters are now coming into WM stores built in Vietnam & SK under HW as the "middle man".
