yesterday I changed the diff. fluid in my Chevy S10 and the used oil had a very dark brown color. The new fluid (motorcraft), on the other hand, had a light green color and was very transparent.
Is it normal for the differential oil to change the color with use and time? or is it only that the old fluid had a different dye?
The old fluid was Shell 80w90 and had 60000km. I didn't change that fluid, so I don't know the original color.
