Used ARX in 2 oz dose

High mileage BMW 325es run on Redline 10W-40 for many years.

Car has had Techron,VSOT, LC20, and FP60.

Ran fine, but I wanted to see if ARX would make a difference. I didn't want to follow the directions, but I will do a normal treatment 1500 miles before this the next oil change.

Instead, I wanted to add 3 oz. of VSOT and 2 oz. of ARX.

I believe the ARX worked very well and the engine ran even better.

I just changed the oil filter after 500 miles of driving.

I felt that the engine was quite clean, especially for 460K...but I wanted to see if I could free up the rings after sitting in storage all winter.

So I experimented with a little ARX....and I belive it worked.

I'm sure it would work even better if I followed the directions.

And I will do a 'by the book' treatment near the end of this oil fill. But that is still 4500 miles from now.

My point was that I wanted to try something different for various reasons....and I feel it worked.

I've been very happy with ARX and I've used it for 'by the book' treatments of engines, power steering, manual transmaissions, and differentials....all with good results

I think that you've made a great product that works incredibly well, and I will order more.

Did I read that right -- you've got 460,000 miles on your 325es?

Don't do the clean with Redline. Use a straight dino. Experience as Australia's RX importer speaking here.

460K runs really well

I think it is a good motor by nature, and it tells me that 20W-50 Castrol GTX every 3K, Mobil 1 15W-50 every 5K, and Redline 10W-40 every 8K all provided adequate protection.

This engine has seen Slick 50 and Tuf Oil during the 80's when I was foolish and uniformed.

I've always used Techron faithfully, and still have the original injectors.

Now I run FP60, VSOT, LC20,, and I will run ARX per instructions and give it a 20w50 conventional rinse.

500 miles into a 'by the book' ARX cleaning....car is running better than ever!

Even with a good syn oil, the engine runs better using ARX. Can't wait until the rinsr phase is complete.

I do like them! Smooth running engines that last a really long time with just a little TLC.
