I have a 2003 Honda Accord and a 2006 Acura TL. Both cars specify a 5W-20 oil.

I have been running the Series 2000 0W-30 oil in the 2003 Accord since new. The 2006 Acura is going to need an oil change and I was planning on using the 0W-20 oil. However; with this new Signature 0W-30 oil, should I use this?

Cars are always garage kept, see under 10k year, no really harsh weather, and I change the oil at the 1yr mark. I use the Amsoil oil filters, too. I am more interested in fuel economy and I don't mind paying more for the Signature 0W-30 oil if it is that much better.

Thanks.

I would say to stay with the 0w-20 since it's going to be less than 10,000 miles and want better fuel economy. I don't think there'd be a huge difference between 0w-20 and the 0w-30, since the 0w-30's viscosity is thicker by a small amount.

I'm running the SSO 0-30 in my TL. So far so good. Nothing to really talk about. Can't tell a difference from the older Amsoil I was running. Going to try something crazy when summer hits and run the Amsoil straight 30 weight in the TL.
