The country now has just a 25 day supply of Diesel, and that’s the lowest level since 2008. On top of that, demand for Diesel is at its highest seasonal level since 2007 because of higher trucking, farming and heating use.

The comprehension of many Americans about what diesel fuel is used for is at its lowest level since 2008.

I have the strangest feeling this is all engineered. The sheeple are to be sheared and enjoy it.

Same reason no one wants to drive truck, companies are jerking crews around and not paying to keep talent…. Given 10 or 20 years of BS even the most hard core worker is going to give them the bird…

The below is a “slightly “ reworded article that was published originally in 2017 about oil industry woes, somebody decided to add a few words and repost it recently as if it were brand new.

“Massive cuts that cost some 440,000 jobs globally at energy companies have left veteran workers and skilled job-candidates without a clear future in oil and gas, according to recent surveys.
The outflow of experienced workers and a lack of hiring as oil companies drive to become more efficient could put future production growth in jeopardy should a nascent upturn in the industry accelerate, say experts. In western Canada, companies resuming production of crude oil are struggling to rehire rig crews following job and pay cuts.

A University of Houston global survey of laid off oil workers found that 25 percent had already moved to another industry and another 55 percent were considering it, according to Reuters. Only 13 percent of those polled in late 2016 had found energy jobs.”

If you look at the EIA website, we have only been slightly above the 25 day supply for most of the year. It maybe the lowest its been in a long time but its not drastically lower than most of this year or even last this time. View attachment 122626
Thanks, I was wondering what the typical stocks are. We likely have refineries changing over to winter fuels, and perhaps some slow downs due to recent weather events, etc.

Probably more about those things than some evil plot by our alien overlords. (Or was that something from Mars Attacks, LOL)

Thank god we have about 10 percent of the oil reserves left that has not been used for political insanity. That oil was for emergency war use.. not for idiot presidents cutting off us oil production.
Government used it to make profit (as they have in the past) buy low sell high.

Oil refining capacity has been stagnating for years in the us and your comment is patently false unless you are talking about 2016-2020, in which case yes we capped more wells then any other time before and continued to loose refineries.

We have actually been opening wells 2021-2022, too bad record profits don’t translate into new refineries

We are in need of oil and importing at a huge clip. Under trump the us was oil independent. So the number of rigs may not match the production amounts we made in the recent past.

Day 1 biden cancelled leases and an oil pipeline and started oil and gas prices going up.

Biden quotes its all putins oil cost but gas prices started to go up dramatically more than half a year before putin did anything.

There's very little storage space for refined products. The whole oil supply system is hand to mouth. In early 2020 the supply of diesel "swelled" to 45 days (not that there were many more gallons on hand, but the usage per day was way down) and refineries shut down. This as you may remember drove the price of crude briefly into negative dollars since there were no buyers.
