Upstairs thermostat issue

Hi all,

My upstairs thermostat was in OFF mode but during the night came on by itself.
Anyone ever seen that before? It’s a Honeywell thermostat replaced a year and a half ago, so not very old. Has a ‘C’ line but also has batteries.

UPDATE: my son turned it on in middle of night. He typically doesn’t touch it, so, mystery solved…..

+Toggle the switch. It may look like it is in OFF mode but may not be.
