Update on 96 Mustang GT

I, had previously mentioned in another post that I, had purchased this car a few months back with 57k on the odometer. I, had swapped out the oil to Mobil 10w30 synthetic and installed a K&N oil filter. This setup caused a delay in oil pressure coming up, and valve noise. This condition would only last a couple seconds, and all would be normal. Then I, removed the K&N, and installed a Mobil 1 filter, same condition was present. About a week ago I, again swapped the oil and filter, again with the mobil 1 oil and filter....There is now no delay in oil pressure, and no valve noise....don't know exactly what it is but the second full synthetic oil change, and the issue is no longer present. Thanks to all who commented previously...I, really like this site.

I'd bet money that the ADBV (Anti Drain Back Valve) on the filter wasn't sealing right.

You should be running a FL-820s filter. The K&N has the wrong stlye valve at the end of the media.
