I just wanted to update on 3 products that I had purchaced recently on the cheap. All 3 are really detail type spray products regardless whether or not they mention "WAX".

NU-Finsih Cling

Rain-X Spray Wax

Eagle 1 Superior NANO Wax

None of the 3 dry to a HAZE! If anything, they dry to a smear that can be wiped off with another clean towel/microfiber or your favorite cleaning cloth/towel.

They are all easy to use(apply/remove) and leave a nice clean shine on the paint and even on flat black paint or black plastic trim. Well, I can't say that any of them actually improve flat black paint trim but, they don't hurt/dull them either!

The Rain-X and Cling were purchaced at closeout stores(Ollies/BigLots) and may not be available anymore at either store of the large stores any longer but, if you can find'em, and these are the types of products you like to use as I do, buy the shelf, you'll like'em!

They do a nice job though, be carefull on darker colors(Navy or Black) as streaking is typical and extra clean micro fiber towels are needed.

Also, an update from the last year or two.
I purchaced some Eagle 1 Carnuba GEL WAX and it too has been a decent product though, can be tough to remove when it hot outside. And it can load up the micro fibre towel quickly. I reported/updated on several threads back then.

I now only use the E1GW for small or single panels such as the Hood ONLY! Makes the paint feel "Just Clayed" and very shiny/smooth but, doesn't seem to last very long. I won't talk much on this E1GW as the search function would be better for more detailed descriptions.

As with many things, your time is the key component here and the cost of the actual product is less important. So if these products were in Walmart at a normal Walmart price would you buy any of them or are there better ones out there?

Yes, I'd buy them at the full price(Walmart*) knowing that the longevity is a bit better than the typical detail spray products.

But, I am comparing them to "detail sprays" though they may be marketed toward other wax type products, IDK!

I have used many large name detail sprays from, Mother's, Meguiar's, Eagle 1, ZEMOL etc., and I like the Rain-X, Cling, Nano better

...Just as easy to use, same or better shine but, (time will tell), longer lasting!

I tried the Eagle 1 product many years ago shortly after it first came out. I didn't care for it at all. Messy and not a true spray and wipe product. More like spray, smear, wipe, smear, wipe some more. Which is why I was hesitant to buy another similiar product. I bought some Duragloss Aquawax and really like it. Spray and wipe, done. Has decent durability and great shine. So easy to work with. About $10 per bottle. Great scent also if you like pineapple.

Like Aquagloss a little better than the Mother's FX that had used for the reasons you stated. Seems to me durability is almost immaterial. I can't imagine any of these products are very durable. The Aquagloss product was so thrifty that there must just be a tiny amount on there. If it makes it for two or three weeks in good weather, that's about all you can hope for.

That's Pineapple? I thought it was vanilla.

Keep in mind that I try to buy these products on the CHEAP!Whether they're new on the market or being discontinued at closeout stores, I like to have a stash of them just like my oil/filter stash(having 4 cars to keep up!

I've always wondered about mixing carnauba and synthetic finishes, and since the wax on Kitacam is a carnauba blend I went and got the Eagle Gel with carnauba, thanks....
