UOA /VOA to OEM unit conversions

Have any of you figured an easy way to convert between the tow units of measure that the OEM's use and the UOA reports provide. For example Vavoline VR-1 list Zn by percent weight and is .12 A Blackstone reports list Zinc in I think PPM?? 961 universal avg??? Any help??????

This brings to mind an interesting potential project for this board. Could we organize the VOA data already on hand into a chart mapping aftermarket products against OEM branded products to try and figure out which OEM products are custom formulations and which are simply relabelling jobs? I bet with some strategic guess work and additional testing many of the blanks could be filled in.

I'm game to pay for a few samples and VOA if others are as well.

Is this a crazy idea or a good one?
