Here is my Used oil Analysis 11,500 miles on Rotella T syn 5-40 62K on the truck with the FS2500 bypass filter. The other UOAs in the pic where using Delo 400 15-40 not much of a change going to run RTS until 14K and do another UOA. I'm happy to see the Silicon down some I'm sure having 62K on the air filter makes it filter a little better. This is a mix of CI-4 and CJ-4 RTS.

Shell Rotella T 5W/40 (Syn) 1qt make up oil 11,500 Miles on the oil FS 2500 filter

Congratulations! Your 2006 GMC has scored its first "hat-trick" of perfect reports. This was your second longest oil run since testing began and all of the wear metals in this blend of two different 5W/40 oils matched up well to averages for the 6.6L Duramax. Iron at 20 ppm is due to the longer oil run since iron will track with miles of oil use. Now that your diesel is well beyond the break-in stage you should be able to extend oil use up to ~14,000 miles. The TBN was strong at 7.6 so this type oil had plenty of life left in it. Try 13,000-14,000 miles next time.

Yes that's what I meant-I didn't catch it when I skimmed your report notes the first time sorry about that. Real good showing for the RTS. So you still have your OEM air filter in or is this an aftermarket unit that you changed out early in the life of the truck?

Yes that is the OEM filter that was on the truck when I bought it new. It starting to get kind of restrictive so I'll be changing it soon. Unfortunately I got cheap and didn't buy as good of a filter as the stock one.

Oops sorry about that but an update on the filter. I'm at 69K now on the stock filter. Before changing out the filter I did the PPE mod to the intake on the 06+ trucks. It dropped the restriction gauge from 50% to 0. It looks like its starting to come off 0 now so it will be getting changed in a bit.
