I guess the figure were all to stupid to know the diffrence between SA and SL.
Can you even still buy SA oil?
yep, at least in these parts. The local "Freds" had a sale on 40W SA - I bought all they had so that now I am the happy owner of 58 quarts, (they made me an offer I couldn't refuse).
Interesting enough, our local "Sam's" has an oil called "Xccel" (I think I spelled it right). Nine bucks a case. It's a multi-weight (multi-grade) 10W30 or 10W40 API SA - I've never see the like
