I'm not talking about Amsoil or Red Line. That's been done to death. I mean products for the passenger car (non-racing) market from a major motor oil maker.
I remember when Valvoline first came out with MaxLife, I found it odd that it didn't carry the API EOLCS donut. They did say they were suitable for API service categories, even if they didn't meet all the requirements. The target audience probably didn't care either, as the intended vehicles would be out of warranty. Of course MaxLife was eventually reformulated for API SJ.
A few years back I saw that Quaker State High Mileage didn't say anything about API service categories. No donut. Not even a mention of what the recommended API service categories were. I found it odd although it is a specialty lubricant for cars out of warranty.
Are there any others?
