iirc, varnish may cause issues with certain newer engines (e.g. with vvt) and after a very long time ... basically not a huge concern in most cars or at least not in older engines. Is that correct?

In this case, it may just be like a girl with too much makeup! :)

Still have the piston rings. Make those sticky or fill the oil drain holes and then oil consumption goes up.
