My car is a 2004 Buick Park Ave and had it a little over a yr now. Its a non super charged version of the 3.8 motor. I have used AC Delco filter. Other car is daughters and going to change oil next week and its a 2008 Mazda 3 with a 2.0 motor. Since she has had it a garage dome the oil change. What filters should use? Is the AC Delco good for mine or should i tey something else? On it i use Valvoline Restore and Protect. Thanks

Never had any trouble with ac delco filters in any vehicles I owned, including lawn tractors. Not sure what your mazda takes but my old mpv (2001) successfully used motorcraft and whatever sears put on it back then.

Latest darling is pgi made filters from o'reilly or adv auto or carquest brand. Happy motoring!

Another decent filter is the STP extended they make …
Sometimes I have grabbed an AZ bundle - even though the oil and filter were for different motors …

Delco is a fine filter for both vehicles. WIX is another good choice many will argue but I never had a WIX issue.

Which retail stores are near you?
Sounds like you have enought time to to order oil change kits online.
Are air filters or wiper blades due?

I too have 'warm and fuzzy' feelings for AC Delco.
At one time I maintained 5 cars with the same filter number.
The AC Delco ALWAYS held back a quart of oil in those engines top ends; meaning the ADBV always worked.

I've been buying the "latest darling" filters from O'Reilly's or Advance AP/Car Quest for a while now.
No need to overthink this.

How many miles are on these vehicles?
'04 Buick has....
'08 Mazda has....

...and what kind of oil do you plan using? Likely a 5W-30 in both. Consider a big box of oil if on special.
