Now and Again. Went one season with a cliffhanger that was never resolved because of the cancellation.
Maybe Sports Night? Their last episode was more or less a treatise on ABC not supporting the show.

Everwood (apparently it was way too "liberal" for the WB viewers. I found it excellent after the first 4-5 episodes in S. 1)

Dark Angel, but season 2 went down in quality too much, I think they deserved to be cancelled.
