I've heard good things about the product from the DIYer crowd. Judging from the comments, it probably has lots of fillers (concealing abilities) and is fairly friendly to a variety of application methods.

Personally, in the past, I have never been a big fan of spray waxes. They've always streaked on me, or I have had poor durability. Or they've required a lot of follow-up buffing with a dry towel in order to remove the residue.

One product that seemed to change all of those complaints for me, was Optimum Car Wax. As long as I apply it to a cool panel (note: the label says to not use it on any surface that is over 120F), it does not streak on me at all. I usually fold a mf towel into quarters, and give the towel two sprays. Then I spray each 18"x18" section once, and use the "primed" mf towel to spread the product. I then immediately follow-up with a clean/dry mf towel to lightly buff off any streaks. Most people have also had ridiculously good durability with it -- I've only had mine on for about two weeks, and it's still going strong.

My dad uses it a lot. I will begin using it, too, once the two bottles of quick detailer are gone. I've got a bottle of Meguairs that I use and a bottle of Mothers in the wings. Both came with clay bar kits. I've used a number of Turtle Wax's "Ice" line of products and have been happy with all of them.

Good stuff. Been using it for couple years on relatively new bikes and cars. Easy on/off. Can do a clean car in 15 min.
Holds up well for me, but my vehicles are garaged. Can use on black parts as well.

It's a good product, relatively speaking.

There are certainly better products out there, but most are more expensive and not as versatile.

I say versatile because it is unique in that you can use it on any of the various surfaces on the car's exterior, as opposed to other spray waxes which are for the paint only.

When I have used it in the past, I liked that I could use it on the black plastic trim panels on the exterior of the car.

Bottom line: if you need a good OTC product for not much money, give this stuff a try.

Probably the best easily available OTC spray wax. Actually I'd say it's comparable to Ultimate Quick Wax in terms of good looks but falls a little short on durability. It's definitely a great booster wax to use in between your normal waxings after washing.

I personally don't use spray waxes since I use rinseless washes which accomplish essentially the same thing, leaving behind a decent looking just waxed finish while boosting existing wax protection.

The spray waxes will wax fresh paint though the protection is not that great but better than nothing, rinseless washes with wax additives just don't cut it when dealing with an unwaxed finish.
