Truing Wheels

Has anyone had experience truing slightly bent or flat rims? I can get my bent wheel trued for $125 and a used one for the same price. Would there be any benefit to one or the other?

we have a place in town called alloy wheel repair and they do an excellent job, that is my preference because you never know what your going to get with the used wheel.

Yours must be an alloy wheel. How did it get bent ??

$125 is way too much for a used wheel, unless it's a 20 incher. Ebay?

If it is an OEM wheel, that price sounds about right from a shop/dealer/store, whichever you'd like to call 'em.

It's a 16 x 6.5" aluminum rim for an '02 Cougar. I don't know how the rim got bent, but the place that mounted my tires says that it's common with 50-series-and-under tires for rims to get bent on potholes, etc.
