I have a TB walk behind self propelled model 12A869F011 yr: 2009. The problem is this. As I was mowing along a wall in 4th gear setting when the left rear wheel bumped the wall, this caused the transmission to go from 4th speed to a creep without moving the shift handle. I creep it to the barn and took off the belt and measure it still 34.32 as spec.for this model. I reconnected everything and it still creeps. I adjusted the sped cable all the way out and all the way back in, it still creeps. is there a spring connection attached to the transmission cable because there seems to be no tension on that cable. any help out there.

Does this unit have a small Peerless, walk-behind 4spd gearbox? Do all gear ranges, plus reverse yield the same results?
Try an internet search for proper belt routing on this model. Should be the same as the MTD walk-behids.
