TRans Range sensor high input help

I own an 04 accent, 1.6l dohc. ONly have 140,000kms. Earlier today I got a p0708 code, but car drove fine. Went to go to the store later on and the car sometimes had reverse and sometimes not. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas? Thought about changing the range sensor itself. I see the wire harness hook up. Anyone know if it is on the outside and the tranny or if the tranny's gotta be dropped. thanks

Sorry, I am not much help here.
But does jiggling the shifter help? is it a linkage problem?
