Trans fluid change - 2024 Nissan Frontier

Have to ask, why are you doing that on a 2024?

Those trucks seem well built. I posted it before, but my neighbor (before I moved) had a brand new 2018 Frontier. He came to my probably a year after he got it (11 months I think) and asked me to help him with an oil change. Bear in mind, he used the truck to pull a trailer with lawn equipment as a side job......

Truck had 23,000 miles on it. Factory fill and oil filter......

Of course you can, the only issue is finding if you have good and easy access to the cooler lines. Otherwise it’s easier to do a pan drop.

So you will need to look around the engine bay and locate the lines. Some vehicles have an easy access to the quick connects and others don’t.

I did that on the Wife's Armada, wasn't bad as the lines were on the oil cooler. Key is to drain the pan and fill that back up before you pull the tranny line (once you figure out which one it is), that way the pump picks up the new fluid and uses that to pump out the old fluid and you can just do 3 Qts at a time so as to not run the pump dry.

I agree that 2024 makes no sense - but 2018 is entirely different model.

I would do a spill and fill of the factory fill around 50K or so likely.

If your vehicle has a transmission dip stick I'd use a fluid extractor. Measure out the fluid and replace with the exact amount. Drive it a few miles and repeat the proceedure a few times. You will eventually get to maybe 85-90% exchange, good enough. Disconnecting fluid lines invites leaks.

I agree, this is exactly what I would do too unless I was towing / hauling close to max rating or driving in the hot AZ/CA mountains, heavy off-roading, etc. on a regular basis, then I would do it every 30k with the diffs.
