Trail of the Cedars - Glacier National Park

Another hike we did kind of by accident. The parking lots were full so we had to park along Going to the Sun Road and walk back to the trailhead for Avalanche Lake trail. We took the Cedars trailhead because it was a shortcut to the Avalanche trail. The other option was a walk through a parking lot - this was MUCH better.

The Trail of the Cedars is on the Going to the Sun Road near the Avalanche lake trailhead. If you are hiking to Avalanche lake, then you will most likely also walk through the Trail of the Cedars, but if you park in the lot, it is possible to skip most of the Cedars Trail. It is worth walking...

I cannot wait to go back to the white mountains in NH. First time in 20 years we have not gone.
