Traction Control Warning Light Stays On

I had a local tire shop rotate and balance the tires on an '03 Caddy Deville and also had
them check the brakes, which they said were fine. The next day the TC light stays on.
Did they do something wrong, or is it just a coincidence? Thanks very much

Probably coincidence, not an expert on anything let alone Cadillac's but normally traction control lights only mean at least 1 tire is spinning faster (or slower) then the rest.

Does this car use the same size tires fore and aft? Maybe you have two oddball tires on the same axle.

Possible causes:
1. A speed sensor came loose
2. A connector or cable to a speed sensor is having issues
3. A tire might have low pressure
