Tows

My 16 year old daughter worked today and parked at her typical free parking along a pond in the nearby city where they happen to launch fireworks/close street on the 4th. She picked a spot that was not temporarily posted no parking but did not examine closely.

Car gets towed no surprise and finds out 28 cars also towed to elementary school lot.

The crazy part, cop says no cost just pick it up.

Maybe they realized it was not clearly posted or the tow company got overzealous.

Well sounds like they needed the spot cleared for the celebration, so moved the vehicles to a spot that sounds easily accessible to those that got towed.
An inconvenience for sure, but in the grand scheme of things, not a bad outcome.
Need better signage apparently, maybe next year they will be better about it (but it may just be cheaper to pay for the tows to the school parking lot).
Just hope no damage occurred from the tows.

Signs might have been too temporary, someone gets towed, pulls down the signs and lets others battle it out. lol

If it was in a spot where debris from the fireworks could have fallen maybe they figured it would be cheaper to tow them rather than repaint them.
