Top or bottom?

My old s10 was being driven way to fast when someone dropped it into the wrong gear while downshifting. Head Gasket seems fine, no bubbles in coolant, no mixed fluids, but the oil pressure drops to zero if it runs long enough.


 
Thanks everyone, spun bearing is what I was thinking. Motor has to be pulled to drop the oil pan. I'm working full time and going to a trade school so it will be a year before I can put time or money in it.

I'll vote for exploded hydraulic lifter.

It kinda sounds like the top end, but I'm not sure that would affect the oil pressure. Tomorrow I'll try pulling spark plug wires one at a time to see if it quietens down or stays the same.
