Edit to add an opinion post almost 10 years old on a hypermile site has dubious value with the obvious bias to over inflation. Good to see capriracer was presenting logic then as well.

Always figured +/- 2 psi latitude over OEM sticker in response to uneven wear or vehicle handling
never out of that range

Back to the original post, l like the 05 on Impala. Liked the SS and almost bought sibling Poncho GXP but glad I didn't later when I learned about the weak trannys.
