Took a second test drive of the 2025 Jetta GLI 6-speed manual

Whatever you do I’d stay away from Lees Summit. A super high pressure, smoke and mirrors volume dealership that will make you feel like you need a shower by the time you leave.

Molle is easy to deal with but is small and usually doesn’t have a lot of inventory.
Molle has hardly any inventory right now. I drove this GLI at Lee's Summit because we were going to be in the area. The minute I walked in and saw 10-15 junior salesman all in white shirts and ties just standing around, I could feel the sleaze dripping on me.

My salesperson was decent and not pushy, probably because I cooled his jets before I arrived. Every car on the lot had $1600 addendum for worthless paint and wheel protection. When I was leaving the Managing Partner came out and asked if there was anything he could do to get me to buy today, you know the usual. About halfway home I got a call from the salesperson thanking me for coming in. Glad I keep hand sanitizer in the truck.

Lee's Summit salespeople are usually pretty laid back, it's the sharks that come out of the tank when you start to talk price that are just awful. Sounds like you met one already. 🤮

Inventory is always a problem at Molle but it's like buying a car from your uncle if they have what you're looking for. They never had a single Arteon though, so I was unable to keep up with the cool kids @Zee09 once again. Story of my life, always a spectator never a player. :p

About 9:45 this morning one of the Sales Managers called me, wanting to earn my business. He ask me why I wasn't interested. Gave him 4 or 5 reasons why, then he was in a hurry to hang up. Didn't tell BITOG of all the issues.

The clutch is touchy, but removing the delay valve changes the feel noticeably. It'll make the pedal more predictable and responsive. Obviously you can't do this on a test drive but know that there is a free and easy improvement for the clutch feel concern. As far as steering feel, yes it's light which is a drawback. However, I've never felt it wasn't predictable and/or darty whatsoever, so I wonder if the tires are overinflated. Regardless, they sound like a por fit for the car in this case. And yeah, definitely need to up the power a bit on these but it's stupid easy to do and there are multiple options.
