Hi,
I was hoping someone could help me with HTHS, Sulphated Ash and Phosphorous specs for this oil please?

I've tried the search function and asked the distributor to no avail.

I'm interested in this oil rather than M1 0w-40 because it is close to half the price here so thought it was worth investigating more!

Thanks
Peter

Hi Roob,

I had found that thread but unfortunately the PDS link does not work anymore and the HTHS value given is pretty old. I was hoping someone may have some more current info.

Thanks
Peter

HTHS will be >3.5 cP, but you might want to email Fuchs for detailed info on it and everything else. It's very hard to come by online.

I don't have an answer but how about Helix Ultra which I heard was selling for $30 down there.

You should be able to find its specs and it is comparable quality wise to M1 0w40.

Not quite but much cheaper than M1!

$64.88 for 5 litres for Helix Ultra and 50 bucks for the Fuchs.
Since I use 25 litres a year it all adds up!

I'll look into the Helix a bit more if I don't have any success with get some info from Fuchs.

Thanks
Peter

Peter,
what do you want to put it in ?

Repco home brand 0W40 is about half the price of M1

Nice work aa!

That is a compelling reason to buy Ultra.

Thanks

Shannow,
Does Penrite blend this for Repco?

Its going into a couple of street driven dry-sumped engines. Hence the large quantity.

Regards
Peter

Yeah it is...I had the catalogue that I got yesterday in the mail, and it's not offered here...hmmm...my catalogue only has country stores, and 5W30 for $59.99...and a different mix of edges.

Go for the helix, it will be more shear stable than the 0W40.

Shannow,
The specs on the 0w-40 look very suitable and is another option for me too. Thanks for posting.

Off to buy some Helix though while at half price!
