I am running synthetic Valvoline VR1 10w30 (street version) in weekend toy. I changed the oil 4.5 months ago and have not cranked since changing the oil due to schedule (0hrs/0miles). Since this oil is classified as racing oil, should I adhere to the 3 month oil life rule and change the oil, or can I extend the time on the oil. If I can what too? Not concerned with mileage on oil since I am not coming remotely close to hitting 3000 miles in a year let alone 3 months.

Thanks

Sythetic VR1 is an API SL oil.
It's more of an SL version of Synpower than a true short life race oil.
I guess dying the oil blue makes it racier?
I'd say it's fine and I'd leave it be.
Even if you had used a real racing oil, you haven't run the car so you haven't done anything to deplete the add pack.
