I was strolling down the cookie aisle at WM and BAM!, there they were. I know Target stores used to stock them seasonally, but the nearest Target is 35 miles away.

These appear to be a regular shelf item now at my local WM (I hope). They also appear (and taste) to be the real deal. Made in Australia by Arnott's and packaged and shipped in the US by Pepperage Farm. The wrapper says cookies, not biscuits, for the US packaging.

So, if anybody want a delightful taste of Australia (chocolate), head down to WM and pick up a pack of Tim Tams.

Now, if we can only find someone to import Mrs Mac's...

I'm not a sweet tooth, but have maybe 3-4 tim tams a year (we handed out heaps of packets on our holiday).

If you have them, and want to try something that trendsetters and chicks like, they bite off opposite corners, then suck a cappucino through the timtam like a straw for a suck or two before the chocolate melts.

But Paeroa is really famous for it's motorcycle street race...on this sunday.

Back in the '70's a mate of mine was living in what had been, and what probably is again, a 3 story mansion (for NZ in say the 30's)....and in the overgrown back yard was that huge L&P bottle. It was never mentioned, just a thing in the back yard.
