From the top left down, is a clock and the recycle bin, RSS newsfeed from CNN, Anandtech, and dailytech, My notes and to-do list, sunrise/sunset, CPU/RAM usage, Quick access to 2/3 harddrives, shutdown, restart commands, Network LAN IP, WAN IP, and UL/DL graphs, 3 day weather forecast, and winamp now-playing. Across the top are Google and wikipedia search bars, launchers for a couple applications, on the right is my utorrent app, below that is the CPU/GPU/System temperature (arcs, out of 100 celsius), and Laura Bodewig calender/clock.

How DO you change the lock screen in windows 7? I've been wondering that for a while but mainly I've just been too lazy to look it up, and forget about it.

Looks great, but Im scared to know what kind of resources are needed to show that kind of a look on a PC. GB of VRAM, GHz of processing speed on the video cards as well as multiple cores, etc.

Interestingly, CPU usage is minimal, not any higher than it was before- C&Q still works, so it still idles at 1Ghz. The entire rainmeter program, including all skins and apps in my case, is a mere 45MB. GPU#1 still idles at the minimum speed, and the 2nd GPU is in power-down state. It really isn't using more than a pittance more resources than it would with the standard desktop.

Not sure I get your meaning. The whole point is to make your desktop the way you like it.

My point being it doesn't offer much in terms of useful information beyond eye candy.

While I agree with your sentiments, I don't understand why posted them in this thread.
