Yeah, what does that mean? Rival oils show virtually no wear, but this is 8x better? Does that mean it actually build up material, rather than let it wear away?

It's the difference that seems to be getting lost on BITOG these days between specifications and performance.

The licencing tests allow "x" wear in the sequence IV test, and Castrol produce 1/8 of the allowable wear (per Oz advertising).

And there was a period when M1 didn't actually meet the specs...
