74 Laguna, Cadillac was criticized for a long time for being too mushy. I can't possibly imagine a rough riding Cadillac of that vintage, i.e. anything before '05. The difference would be mushy vs. mushier. The '05 and newer STS has a sportier ride, and I have driven that car, but I would certainly not call it rough, although some might, but those are the people they created the DTS for.
