Got called out to a job this morning to fix a flat tire. This job is definitely on the wrong side of the tracks.

Got there and found a tire off the rim on one side and the metal valve stem gone. That's how the guys found it this morning. Someone deflated the tire and unscrewed the metal valve stem.

It was a brass colored one. Prolly plated steel.

Even if it's brass or copper it can't have much value as a new one was $5 installed at a tire store.

Wonder what they needed it for? Do they smoke crack from them?

I've heard that they smoke crack from these, available at most convenience stores:

Pretty sure an eco warrior doesn't have any basic knowledge of a valve stem, or removing one. They'll just slash the tire.

If you really want to waste someone's time, remove the valve core from a tire valve stem. If they don't notice that it's missing, they'll spend the next 10 minutes inflating it (depending on how fast their compressor is), only to have it deflate when they unhook it.

Probably just kids causing trouble.

Or if it’s like my current job site, it’s the shady steel workers out of Ohio.
