The sun will rise in the west! Cox lowered bill

I am at one above basic now getting 600 Mbps/100Mbps for $80. It allows me to work from home and worth every penny even if I paid $160/month.
1Gig Google Fiber is $70, 2 Gig $100
They also give you the wifi router (1gig) plus a mesh extender (if you do the 2 gig) or you can use your own.
Plus 1TB of cloud storage.(both 1 gig and 2 gig)

We have Cox here in Virginia. My parents pay $260 a month for cable, internet and home phone. I told them they are crazier than heck for keeping the home phone and cable at least in my opinion. They actually just got the home phone in March to lower the bill $20. It would be about $60 a month if they just had WiFi and that’s for one of the higher speeds. I plan on buying them some new equipment for the WiFi though since the Cox issued stuff is way outdated. I don’t understand anything about speeds or nothing I just know the higher the better lol.

Meaningless unfortunately because they need to run their own fiber locally to become a competitor. We only have two choices here and one is terrible called Fidium in terms of outages.

Xfinity even places out Honda eu1000s locked to power pole equipment middle of power outages within couple hours.

Yes, same for everyone… I just saw someone mentioned it and thought I would see what they charge. 🙃

My Cox bill got lowered when I switched to T-Mobile 5G Home Internet. Half the price, more reliable and faster!

Glad it works for you! Mixed results I think depending on your locale and closeness to tower.

We forced another coworker to dump service because of terrible latency when doing zoom meetings .

T-Mobile 5G Home Internet customers receive consistent broadband speeds and see typical download speeds between 72 – 245 Mbps,
$50

You were paying $100/mo for sub-250mbps speeds with cox? I just downgraded on Cox from 500mb to 250mb and it's only $50/mo for me so Cox is literally the same price but faster than Tmobile.....
