The pleats look ok on this filter?

The filter has nice even pleats except for this one row. Will this cause a problem with the media tearing or anything? I’m going to run this filter on my next oil change.

It's probably at the seam. What filter is it? ... might be some C&P of that filter brand/model. Some media can take way more side pressure than others.

That's likely where the crimp is. There is always going to be some deviation there for the mechanical process. If that is the only spot, it will be fine to run

I deeply respect, and fear, BITOGers, um...thoroughness. And then I think about how many people out there who just slap on whatever is the cheapest filter that interchanges for their vehicle. If they don't take it to IffyLube first.
