Found this interesting. Read the efficiency specs on both.
I understand the regular Pro is for short OCI's but they are identical in performance.
All of my applications are pretty remote except one so I use Ultras but the regular Pro is $1.68
for a 3614.......... I do understand the wire backed model is $4-$5 but interesting anyway

In short,Fram Pro synthetic = Fram Ultra without grip and Fram Pro = Fram Tough Guard without grip.

On a side note I'd like to know the diff between the Ultra and the pro?

Sry, yea the pro syn and ultra

sooo why have two Ultra type filters?

I ran an Ultra of the same model # out to over 24K with 3 oci's. Its on here..

I'm not sure. Possibly, the pro line is meant to be shipped in bulk to dealers/mechanics which would explain why they don't have the grips.

Good question- I assumed it was the OCOD and not the TG......
I don't buy Pro's so I never opened up the basic unit.
10K is not a short interval on the TG so I think the Pro is the base Fram- anyone know for sure?????

It can't be the Extra Guard because the E.G. Is not listed as 99% efficient @ 20 microns. It's possible it uses the same media as a Tough Guard, but less of it. Anyone know if it has a silicone ADBV like the Tough Guard?

Good question and remarks
I might just buy one and cut it open to know. If it is a real TG its a deal.

Ahhh that would make since, for fleet type use.

I think the specs are wrong for the base Pro- this page gives a clue that it isn't a TG but the OCOD
The Pro Plus appears to be the TG

Think the Pro is the OCOD and the pro Plus is the TG
And we all know the Ultra- Pro............
Price and oci dictate this.
